Upon seeing the officers, he tried to flee, but was stopped and arrested for possession with intent to sell. This happened last Saturday in Bacu Abis, a hamlet in the municipality of Carbonia, where the State Police arrested a 38-year-old man on suspicion of possession with intent to sell. The operation followed several reports of suspicious activity in Piazza Santa Barbara.

Once on site, officers proceeded to identify several young people present in the area. During the checks, a man approached and, upon seeing the patrol, attempted to run away. Recognized by the officers for his drug-related history, he was immediately arrested.

His nervous demeanor aroused the officers' suspicions, and they decided to conduct a personal search. This search led to the discovery of two marijuana buds weighing a total of 0.5 grams and €280 in cash, divided into small bills.

The search was then extended to the man's home, where the police found approximately 85 grams of marijuana, 0.5 grams of cocaine, a one-meter-tall cannabis plant with maturing inflorescences (for a total weight of 105 grams), as well as two precision scales and packaging material.

The man was arrested for possession of narcotics with intent to distribute. After validating the arrest, the preliminary investigations judge ordered him to remain under house arrest from 8:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
