The drought emergency in Sardinia does not stop.
According to new data collected by the Anbi Observatory on Water Resources, the Island remains, together with Sicily, Puglia and Basilicata, the region where the reservoirs are at the most critical level.
"The situation - underlines the National Association of Irrigation Reclamation - is now in collapse: in Sardinia, Sicily, Puglia and Basilicata the seasonal rainfall, although locally very violent, has been insufficient and patchy, not favoring the restoration of water reserves".
In particular, Anbi highlights, in Sardinia the water emergency affects the territories of Baronia, Medio Campidano, Chilivani-Ozieri and the North-West area.
The situation is also dramatic in Sicily, where – explains Anbi – the little water that still flows in the water network is rapidly running out due to the total emptying of the reservoirs and the reduced flow of the springs.
