To make up for the lack of general practitioners, the regional health councilor Carlo Doria proposes the establishment of the Uca, a unit of continuity of care, which will replace the Usca closed since 1 January last .

Doctors already employed will therefore be able to move to the new unit, which will take care of Covid patients, and where there are no family doctors, they will be able to guarantee presence and assistance 24 hours a day .

In the meantime, the commissioner, in countries where there is the problem of family doctors, undertakes to have medical guards for medicine prescriptions, but also to carry out specialist visits .

This is what emerged from the meeting held in Noragugume, solicited by the mayor Rita Zaru and by the president of the Union of Municipalities of Marghine, Gian Pietro Arca. The mayors of the area took part, with representatives of the Marghine health protection committee and the regional councilor Franco Mula .

The problem of thousands of people who have no medical assistance has been talked about. A U-turn? «It is our task to supervise - writes the Marghine health protection committee in a note - we must therefore support the mayors in this epochal battle, which is not of the single country, but of a vast territory which, slowly, is being impoverished by essential services". The leaders of the Nuoro Local Health Authority were largely absent from the meeting .
