«In Sardinia we are collapsing». This is said by the unions Cisl Medici, Aaron Emac, Fa Ssid, Fvm, who, in conjunction with other Italian cities, have called a strike by doctors, veterinarians, pharmacists, psychologists and biologists .

«As far as membership is concerned, we are limited by having to guarantee the minimum quotas - explains - Gisella Carrucciu coordinator of Fassid -, many colleagues who would like to protest are forced to stay at work, but they are with us. Today we will only guarantee emergencies-urgent situations ."
Today, transversal services, both hospital and local, are in fits and starts: diagnostic, interventional and outpatient radiology services, laboratory diagnostics, psychological services in clinics, child neuropsychiatry, mental health centers, oncology, services pharmaceuticals in hospital and in the local area, and vaccination hygiene and public health services.

The motivations for the mobilization are different.

On the island - they explain - one citizen in five has given up on treatment because they do not have the necessary resources for paid visits and to purchase medicines . And then there are: the long waits in the emergency room before being examined by the doctor, overcrowding in the hospital departments and sick people "parked" in the hallways for a long time waiting for a free bed .

According to the CISL, the causes of the disaster in the medical field are linked to 4 main factors, from which the possible lines of intervention arise. The limited number (or rather programmed with serious underestimation) in accessing the medical degree course and specializations has led over the years to serious shortages in the workforce. The reduced remuneration of doctors in Italy compared to the rest of Europe. And then the difficulty in reconciling life and work and the lack of reform of medical professional responsibility .
