A specialist from the Giovanni Paolo II hospital in Olbia was treated this morning by colleagues from the Emergency Room. The doctor, who arrived in a state of great agitation, asked for help for an alleged assault suffered inside the ASL headquarters in Olbia .
She was assigned ten days of treatment for "cervical lumbago post traumatic in aggression". The doctor declared that she was forcibly removed and beaten by a security guard inside the administrative headquarters of the ASL of Olbia. According to what leaked from the hospital of the Gallura city, the specialist had gone to the administrative offices of the ASL, in via Bazzoni Sircana, to get explanations about the failure to pay the overtime accrued in the Emergency Room.
During a heated discussion with the administrative staff, a person, apparently a security guard, allegedly beat up the doctor. The specialist declared that she wanted to proceed in all the venues against the alleged aggressor and against the ASL. The ASL itself has started an internal investigation into the incident. The episode, still to be reconstructed, however, gives an idea of the climate of tension in the hospital of Olbia, dramatically understaffed.
