Rubber dinghies too close to the shore . And swimmers sunbathing at the foot of the cliffs, despite the signs warning against landslides.
Around twenty fines were issued by officers from the Cagliari local police's nautical section who, in collaboration with the Coast Guard, patrolled the city's coastline over the weekend, between Marina Piccola, Sella del Diavolo, Cala Fighera, Cala Mosca, and Sant'Elia, where navigation and parking within 50 meters of the coast are prohibited.
During the patrol, the command led by Pierpaolo Marullo reported, support activities were also carried out for swimmers, SUPs, and canoes in difficulty.
"Vigilance, using the provided watercraft," the notice reads, "will continue in the coming days, also considering the August holiday season, which will see numerous tourists flock to the Cagliari coast."
