First the congratulations for the nomination, but then a request immediately arrives. And that is to intervene in the streets, almost all in a state of degradation.

The new extraordinary commissioner of the province of Oristano, Battista Ghisu , took office just a month and a half ago and there is not a single mayor of the 88 municipalities of Oristano who has not asked him to secure the areas under the province's jurisdiction .

A thousand kilometers in total of roads that have suffered for years, with deep potholes and no signs or lighting .

"I'm listening to everyone - says Ghisu - and the mayors are right, there are very dangerous sections that we will try to restore immediately. All this will be possible thanks to the ten million euros allocated by the Region . Obviously they will not be enough to intervene in all the sections, in fact we are working to understand what the priorities are. Then we will ask for other funds" .

The commissioner says that there are currently four tenders underway . The workers will work along the 388 , which goes from Zerfaliu towards Siamaggiore. Then the provincial road 15 will be repaired, for a total of 55 kilometers, the longest stretch in the province. The territories of Tadasuni, Bidonì, Sorradile, Nughedu and Neoneli are affected. But thanks to one million euros it will be possible to intervene always on the 15 but in the territories of Milis Bonarcado and Santu Lussurgiu. Other work will begin on Road 87 , from Ollastra to Siapiccia.

The commissioner does not forget the other territories: «I cannot ignore the signature collection that took place in Arborea. More than a thousand citizens are asking us to intervene on Strada 52. In the next few days the managers will make an inspection».
