Daily Covid infections are decreasing in Sardinia. However, the new cases remain above 1,200, with a positivity rate of 4.9%.

In the last 24 hours, another 7 deaths have been recorded on the island, two of them in the under 50 age group.

The number of hospitalized patients remains unchanged, while the number of patients assisted in the ordinary wards is still increasing.

Here is the full bulletin on the epidemic released by the Region on Thursday 27 January 2022: “In Sardinia today there are 1224 further confirmed cases of COVID positivity (yesterday 1,461, ed), based on 4476 people tested. A total of 24871 swabs were processed, including molecular and antigenic.

There are 32 patients admitted to intensive care units (like yesterday).

The patients hospitalized in the medical area are 331 (4 more than yesterday).

22,494 are the cases of home isolation (83 fewer than yesterday).

There are 7 deaths (ten deaths yesterday, ed): 1 man of 38 years old, residing in the Metropolitan City of Cagliari; 1 64-year-old woman residing in the province of South Sardinia; 3 men aged 49, 86 and 91 and 2 women aged 86 and 94, all residing in the province of Sassari ”.
