"Slight" trend reversal of Covid infections in the last week in Italy, with the incidence increasing again, settling at 222 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants . that the value of Rt, at 0.75, “remains well below unity”.
The epidemiological situation, Rezza underlines, "means that it is good to continue to behave in a prudent manner and to monitor what is happening above all in other EU countries".
The highest incidence value is recorded in Sardinia with 308.3 weekly cases per 100 thousand inhabitants , followed by Sicily with 298.4 and Umbria with 292. The incidence is growing in 12 Regions, including Sardinia, and in the two Provinces autonomous of Trento and Bolzano.
Rezza recalls the importance of "completing the vaccination cycle", in particular "the fourth dose for the elderly and the frail". The occupancy rate of beds remains low and continues to drop, in the medical area at 6.6%, in intensive care at 2.2% .
