In Sardinia in the week from 21 to 27 September there was an improvement in performance for currently positive cases per 100 thousand inhabitants (264), but there was an increase in new cases (22.7%) compared to the previous week . This is what the Gimbe Foundation notes in the usual weekly report on Covid-19 .

This is the list of new cases per 100 thousand inhabitants of the last week divided by province: Oristano 228 (+ 15.2% compared to the previous week), Cagliari 211 (+ 34.1%), Nuoro 196 (+ 35.7% ), South Sardinia 141 (+ 10.4%), Sassari 126 (+ 15.4%).

The beds in the medical area (3.5%) are below the national average, while the beds in intensive care (2.5%) occupied by coronavirus patients are above the national average.

VACCINES - As regards the vaccination campaign, the percentage of the population over 5 years that has not received any dose of vaccine is equal to 10.2% (Italy average 10%) to which the temporarily protected over 5 year population must be added, in how much healed from Covid-19 for less than 180 days, equal to 1.8%.

The percentage of the over 5-year-old population that has not received the third dose of vaccine is 12.4% (Italy average 11.2%) to which the over-5-year-old population healed for less than 120 days, which cannot receive the third immediate dose, equal to 5.5%; the vaccination coverage rate with fourth dose is 12.1% (Italy average 17%).

The population 5-11 that has completed the vaccination cycle is 41.6% (Italy average 35.2%) to which a further 4.5% (Italy average 3.3%) must be added with the first dose only.
