The fluctuation of cases from Covid-19 continues in Sardinia where, after an improvement in the situation in the previous week, between 2 and 8 February and according to Gimbe data, there is a new worsening for cases currently positive per 100 thousand inhabitants (1,855 compared to 1,425 in the last survey) with, also, an increase in new cases of 104.4% compared to the previous week.

An increase that this time is no longer found in central Sardinia, but in the south of the island with the metropolitan city of Cagliari and southern Sardinia which tripled the cases per 100 thousand inhabitants, from 379 to 1,175 for the first, and from 328 to 1,103 for the second province.

Nuoro drops from 1,067 to 861. They double in Sassari, from 341 to 759, and grow in Oristano, from 579 to 680.

The pressure on hospital wards remains high and the occupancy of beds by Covid patients in the medical area (25.5%) and in intensive care (13.7%) remains above the saturation threshold.
