A young couple was arrested in Selargius . Carabinieri caught a 29-year-old Algerian man and a 26-year-old woman from Cagliari overnight after they had stolen from a parked car.

The police responded to a call to 112 reporting the theft of a small car parked in the town center. The two men, already known to the police, were stopped as they attempted to flee on foot with the stolen goods.

The items were recovered and returned to the owner. The two will be charged with aggravated theft and are currently under house arrest.
