Too many disruptions on Sardinian trains, especially in the north of the island. And councilor Antonio Moro summons Trenitalia for clarification .

The decision of the member of the Council comes in the aftermath of a nightmare Olbia-Cagliari for several travellers, forced to remain standing for 4 hours given that the convoy was packed.

«An unworthy service and a situation that is no longer tolerable , Trenitalia connections from the North of the Island are an offense to travelers and undermine the Region's efforts to restore dignity to public transport», comments Moro.

«Delays, cancellations, timetables that do not correspond to user needs, unilateral changes to programs and a questionable use of replacement buses have reached unacceptable levels which, combined with the questionable choices of the past, tend to penalize road transport to the advantage of an inadequate railway transport, make radical changes in the relationships between the railway manager and the Sardinian Region no longer postponable ", concludes the councilor.

Tomorrow, Tuesday 12 December, at noon the meeting in the department will be held: Moro will ask to know «the measures that the company intends to undertake to restore, as soon as possible, a transport capacity proportionate to passenger demand» .
