Council houses, unsafe building in Porto Torres: cracks, rubble on the ground and porch out of order

Old buildings with structural problems and portions of plaster that continue to collapse in the homes owned by Area. In the Villaggio Verde neighborhood of Porto Torres, a four-story building, at number 4 of via dell'Autonomia, the firefighters intervened due to static failure of elements of the facade.

The team that arrived on site found that some parts of the concrete had fallen off and ended up on the sidewalks. The stones were removed but it was necessary to block access to the portico and some areas were cordoned off with warning tape. Given the state of degradation of the façade, where there are cracks and lesions on the outside of the upper floors, the need for urgent safety measures to be taken to secure the exterior walls of the entire building was recorded in the report of the red helmets.

The order issued by Mayor Massimo Mulas requires Area to intervene immediately to restore any unsafe parts, in order to prevent further collapses that could endanger the safety of people.
