Not only (many) tourists this summer in Costa Rei. In the evening, there are more and more wild boars that come right to the door of the villas - where there are waste containers - to look for food. A situation that is starting to worry the frequenters of the renowned tourist destination of Muravera.

For this reason, Mayor Salvatore Piu wrote to the Regional Councillor for the Environment, Rosanna Laconi: "We need to find a solution," explained the mayor, "and the Region must think about this. A controlled culling campaign could be carried out."

The alarm was also raised by the citizens' committee of Costa Rei chaired by Luciano Zerbi.

Wild boars have been spotted especially in the high area but are starting to move closer to the beach too.
