Building supervision and the fight against undeclared work are the objectives of the checks carried out by the Carabinieri of the Cagliari Inspectorate Unit in collaboration with colleagues from the competent stations for the area.

In one week , checks were carried out on eight construction sites and on 15 companies. Seven people have been reported for violations of workplace health and safety regulations. 30 operators identified, including six undeclared employees. 5 business activities were suspended, 2 of which for violations of health and safety in the workplace and 3 for the use of undeclared labor in excess of 10% of the workforce.

Administrative fines of €25,600 were contested and criminal fines were imposed for a further €17,550. The most frequented areas were those of the municipalities of Quartu Sant'Elena and Maracalagonis and the operating companies came from various locations in Sardinia.
