Contract renewed for regional and forestry employees

The Councilor for General Affairs, Personnel and Reform Mariaelena Motzo presented in Nuoro the significant elements of the regional collective agreement for employees and managers of the Region and the Forestry and Environmental Supervision Corps , signed in recent days following intense work carried out by the Personnel and Planning Departments, the trade unions, and thanks to the commitment of Co.Ra.N. (Committee for Negotiating Representation) and the regional offices. "This is a result of great importance," explained Mariaelena Motzo, "which involves over 10 thousand Sardinian families, achieved a few months after the Regional Council took office, and certified positively by the Court of Auditors. The renewal introduces increases in salaries and allowances for employees, in addition to a series of contractual provisions that respond to historical needs. For the Forestas agency", the councilor specified, "the forestry allowance has been equalized to the administration allowance - already recognized to all employees of the Region sector - now also included in the thirteenth and fourteenth month's salary, guaranteeing dignity to the blue-collar staff and re-establishing fair contractual equity. Furthermore, always in Forestas, funds dedicated to horizontal progressions have finally been allocated, a recognition never introduced in the past".
Particular attention, Motzo underlined, «was also paid to the Civil Protection operators, for whom a specific allowance was foreseen, and to the Forestry Corps and Environmental Surveillance personnel, with interventions aimed at enhancing their role».
"This renewal represents an important programmatic goal, achieved in record time thanks to the great commitment of Co.Ra.N., the trade unions and all the personnel involved", says Councilor Mariaelena Motzo. It is a concrete demonstration of the will of the Regional Council to valorize and reward the employees, recognizing their fundamental contribution to the functioning of the Region".
