Continuity, the Corsica-Sardinia section entrusted to Moby in the period from November to March
The contract lasts for three years and provides for a couple of races per day more than the previous one
Entrusted to Moby the maritime connection in territorial continuity between Sardinia and Corsica in the period between November 1st and March 31st.
The public service contract, which covers the transport of people, vehicles and goods, was signed today.
The new contract, underlines the Region, is an improvement because it provides for 4 pairs of races a day compared to 3 in the previous one. It has a duration of 15 months , 5 for each of the three years of fostering, and the Region will be able to exercise the option for a further three years.
From November 1st to December 15th due to the works at the port of Santa Teresa Gallura , the connection in continuity with Bonifacio will be carried out in the port of Palau.
In the period from 1 April to 31 October 2023, again for the Santa Teresa-Bonifacio line, the deadline for the presentation of expressions of interest expires on 2 November . The public service obligations in this case are "horizontal", therefore without exclusivity and without economic compensation.
