Skyrocketing fares and reduced frequency of flights to and from the Island. This is the scenario on air transport in Sardinia that Ugo Cappellacci, deputy and head of the National Department of Insularity of Forza Italia, strongly contests, with the proposal of a return to the past and to when he was president of the Region.

« Restore continuity 2 for minor routes, relaunch the one for Rome and Milan with the single tariff on the model launched by my government in 2013 », the plan indicated by Cappellacci. Who, at the same time, deeply criticizes what has been done in recent years at the level of territorial continuity: « With the single tariff for Rome and Milan, single with the price cap, we had protected travelers from price fluctuations incompatible with the right to mobility of the Sardinians and with the needs of businesses to overcome the island gap. The same system was ready to start with the calls for tenders also for the so-called minor routes of continuity 2, namely the one that connected Sardinia to Bologna, Verona, Naples and Turin. But the Pigliaru government not only did not continue that path but with the wicked note n. 9588 of 6 October 2014 asked the Renzi government to completely abolish the public service charges on those routes. The decree that brought the end of continuity 2 to completion followed ».

The criticism. Cappellacci's attack is also on the current Council and on the latest news on the routes: « Having returned to lead Sardinia together with the 5 Star Movement, the PD completes the work by completely destroying the continuity 1 to Rome and Milan with a cut in frequencies and duration . History repeats itself: they always say they have amazing ideas but after their passage Sardinia is increasingly isolated. In the meantime, they do not even monitor the current continuity and remain inert in the face of the cancellation of the afternoon flight Cagliari-Rome. Almost seven months have passed since the elections and the 'pilot' Todde is still reading the instruction book on how to govern Sardinia».
