The public resources available should be implemented and not reduced, in order to guarantee a strategic relaunch for the island's tourism and for the knowledge of Sardinia all over the world".

The position was taken by the Councilor for Tourism, Gianni Chessa, ready to remove the six million euros foreseen as funding for the formula one event at sea: «Like Confcommercio and Federalberghi Sud Sardegna, we ask the Regional Council to return to his dreaded decision, so that Cagliari - which we remember is also the base of Luna Rossa - can regain a leading role and not miss the appointment with the international parterre of the America's Cup, with all the consequent positive effects".
