The Municipality of Stintino is preparing to experience a month of August dedicated to culture and art, thanks to a series of events scheduled at the Mut, Museo della Tonnara, which embrace music, cinema and literature.
The program opens on Friday 4 August, at 9 pm, with "Musica d'Estate a Stintino", a music festival curated by the "Friends of the Sardinian Philharmonic Orchestra Conservatory" association. The opening night will be enlivened by the "Forte trio", an eclectic musical group from Kazakhstan.
The weekend of 5 and 6 August, at 9 pm, will bring "Visioni sarde" to the big screen, a film festival dedicated to quality cinema produced in Sardinia. This review, co-organized by the Sardegna Film Commission Foundation and the Cineteca di Bologna, will present the Sardinian films that have reached the finals of the prestigious "Visioni Italiane" Festival. The review will be presented by Sergio Scavio, a director with a profound knowledge of Sardinian and Italian cinema.
Friday 11 August, at 19.30, there will be the presentation of the book "Animas de pedra. S'Incantu" by Michele Pio Ledda. The evening, enhanced by the photographs of Nicola Castangia, will be an opportunity to dialogue with Sebastiano Porcu, discoverer of Sardinia's most famous Domus de Janas, and with the journalist Giovanni Salis. The event will be further enriched by the presence of Ilenia Romano, guest of the evening.
Sunday 20 August, at 21, the "Musica d'Estate a Stintino" festival returns with a concert by the "Italian piano duo" composed by Marco Schiavo and Sergio Marchegiani.
Tuesday 29, at 19.30, the Mut welcomes Gianni Caria for the presentation of his book "Sabbie". It will be a unique opportunity to deepen his work with the Director of the Municipal Library of Sassari, Maria Antonietta Ruiu, who will dialogue with the author.
Finally, on August 30, at 21, the "Musica d'Estate a Stintino" will close the month of August with the concert of the "Trio ADC", composed by Alberto Cesaraccio, Antonio Puglia and Matteo Taras.
