Given that the fishermen of Alghero will obtain compensation for the "biological closure" imposed by the protected marine area within the bay of Porto Conte, the regional trade associations are now requesting that the same treatment be adopted for all the other fishermen who work in Marine protected areas and parks of Sardinia.
This was written in a note by Agci Agrital with Giovanni Angelo Loi, the Shipowners' Association and Confcooperative Fedagripesca with Renato Murgia and Legacoop with Mauro Steri.
"It is necessary that there is no discrimination and therefore fishermen of series "A" and series "B"», explain the trade organizations.
The indemnity budgeted by the Sardinia Region for the fishermen of the Cigarellu committee of Alghero who practiced in the bay of Porto Conte amounts to a total of around 100,000 euros a year.
