Cocaine from Holland: three arrests in Cagliari. The "courier" was an employee of a shipping company
The Financial Police intercepted a package with 4.5 kg of drugs, passed from hand to hand on the streets of the capital. A "load" that could have brought in over 400 thousand euros
Three men, residing in the Cagliari hinterland, arrested by the Guardia di Finanza after being found in possession of almost 5 kilograms of cocaine.
It concerns the "courier" and the recipients of the drug shipment: the first was placed under house arrest, while the prison doors were opened for the other two.
The three ended up in the Fiamme Gialle network during a control service in the capital. The military noticed a car wandering through the streets of a residential area apparently aimlessly .
At a certain point the car approached a parked van and the driver came out of the passenger compartment and handed the driver of the suspect car a large package . So everyone then went their own way.
However, the financiers followed the car where the package had been loaded, which headed towards the Binaghi hospital. Having reached his destination, the driver got out and handed the large box to a third motorist, at the wheel of a luxury car, all in a circumspect manner.
At that point the military started the inspection and from the investigations it emerged that the package, which arrived by post from Holland, contained four wrappers containing cocaine, probably destined for the Cagliari drug dealing market.
Subsequent checks revealed that the "courier" who took care of the illicit shipment is an employee of a company in the mail delivery sector, who was found in possession of 1,500 euros, which investigators believe to be the compensation for having facilitated the arrival of the cargo in Sardinia.
At that point the people involved were put in handcuffs, with the Court of Cagliari validating the arrest of all three, as requested by the Prosecutor's Office.
During the investigation, the military also identified a clandestine laboratory used for the processing of the narcotic substance and seized a total of 14,500 euros in cash, believed to be the (partial) proceeds of the illicit activity.
The drug, if placed on the market, would have guaranteed proceeds of over 400 thousand euros .
