"Abbanoa shuts off the water for three days, from today until May 26, violating the rules of public health". This is the denunciation of the mayor of Loceri, Gianfranco Lecca , who speaks of " yet another hoax by the water company to the detriment of the locals " and announces his intention to take legal action against Abbanoa.

The management company of the regional water service, in the communication to the Municipality, explains that the stop to the water supply was necessary due to the detection of non-standard values following the meteorological conditions of the last few days which caused a muddying of the springs , therefore announcing the closure with immediate effect starting today.

However, the mayor of Loceri points out that the disservice is added to what the town has been suffering for months with a supply at reduced regimes due to the lack of summer rainfall.

«Abbanoa supplies water when it doesn't rain and doesn't supply it when it rains , now it is unable to purify the springs and unloads the responsibility on the country, a disservice that we have endured for too long - says Lecca -. We don't understand how far the bad organization of this body goes that shuts off the water for three days without finding any solution. We have accepted the partial summer supply as a solution of extreme urgency but we are overwhelmed by the protests of citizens , who see the water gushing unnecessarily from the streets and are also burdened by the costs of high bills despite the intermittent supply and sudden closures. We expect the service to be restored as soon as possible and that the tankers arrive in the meantime», concludes the mayor of Loceri.
