The trial for the death of Claudio Manca from Terralba will begin on January 26th . The trial will involve entrepreneur Battista Manis, 53, (represented by Antonio Pinna Spada and Luigi Porcella), his wife Claudia Abis, and their son Pietro Paolo (represented by Anna Maria Uras and Roberto Nati).

Manis' lawyers have requested a fast-track trial conditional on the hearing of the coroner, the engineers who reconstructed the dynamics and a psychiatric consultation .

Manca's parents, represented by lawyers Fabio Costa and Luciano Rubattu, were also present in the courtroom.

Judge Serena Corrias adjourned the case until January 26th for the first hearing. The civil party's lawyers requested the precautionary seizure of Battista Manis' assets . The judge reserved her decision on the matter.

According to the prosecutor Marco De Crescenzo, last September Manis, in collusion with his wife and son who were in the car with him, deliberately hit Manca while he was riding his bike with his car and then hit him, leaving him in a drainage ditch .

Manca's body was found the next day.
