The holidays are approaching and like every year, for all Sardinians who want or need to travel to and from the Island, the ghost of expensive flights returns. "What Assoutenti is denouncing and what many citizens are denouncing about the now usual high prices in the winter high season, by airlines, is absolutely not justified by the price of fuel or by the conditions of competition and does not recognize the effort we are making to study an overall reduction in costs and the municipal boarding surcharge and the attention to the aeronautical sector", declared Salvatore Deidda, Fdi deputy and President of the Transport, Post and Telecommunications Commission.

«Not only do airlines continue to ignore the status of insularity recognized by our Constitution – continues Deidda – but with these high and indiscriminate prices , as if we had other alternative means of transport, they are limiting and penalizing the right to mobility of workers and businesses, in fact penalizing the businesses and workers of the Islands, in fact privileging other locations and other sites».

"If they don't meet us with a fair pricing policy, now in Europe or in Parliament, we will find the legislative way to protect citizens and businesses , starting with the regulations to protect users under discussion in the Transport Commission of the Chamber of Deputies", concludes the FdI deputy.
