Irregularities in the Oniferi farms were detected by the Orotelli carabinieri.

Five people , co-owners of the business, have been reported on the loose for receiving stolen goods. 3 stolen animals were found in the structure. Furthermore, the staff of the ASL imposed administrative fines of 14,900 euros in relation to 25 animals that were not regularly identified. One of the farmers also got into trouble for filing a false report of the loss of 300 sheep registered to him.

After receiving the requirements of the ASL for numerical verification, they had falsely reported the loss of 788 sheep to regularize their position. The local health authority has also issued fines of 18,300 euros for the failure to register 61 sheep.
