Chasm in the street in Porto Torres: woman ends up in hospital

He falls tumbling to the ground after putting his foot in a large hole on the asphalt and ends up in the hospital. The accident happened in the early afternoon in via Principessa Giovanna in Porto Torres, one of those bad roads that lead to the Balai seafront.

The woman, about 60 years old and a resident of the place, while returning home, tripped over a large hole on the bumpy asphalt which, probably, she was unable to avoid, also due to her pre-existing walking difficulties, and tumbled to ground with some injuries and a suspected leg fracture

The scene was witnessed by some passers-by who immediately alarmed 118.

The woman after being immobilized by the doctors, who intervened on the spot, was transported by ambulance to the hospital of the Santissima Annunziata in Sassari.

"What caused the woman's loss of balance were the pitfalls of the road surface - say the residents - which has an uneven pavement and needs immediate restoration work".
