Nine towns in central Sardinia, including Macomer, risk running out of water for the whole day on Tuesday 28 February.

This is not a sudden failure, but a work planned by Abbanoa that affects the entire aqueduct. In fact, the technicians will carry out an important efficiency intervention and extraordinary maintenance in the supply pipeline of the lifting system called "Temo 1".

The works will be carried out starting from 6 in the morning, until 20 on the same day. "During this time slot - writes Abbanoa in a press release - the supply to the users of the nine centers concerned ( Macomer, Borore, Noragugume, Dualchi, Sedilo, Mara, Giave, Bonorva and Padria ), will be guaranteed only by the stocks appropriately accumulated in the tanks of each single municipality. Any drops in pressure could occur in the late afternoon due to the lowering of the levels in the tanks themselves".

At the end of the intervention, in any case the Abbanoa teams will be mobilized to carry out the restart maneuvers of the entire aqueduct.
