The body of Luciano Luccheddu, the 80-year-old pensioner who disappeared from Olia Speciosa on 30 March last, was found a short while ago in Feraxi.

In the morning the bicycle was found and searches were concentrated in the area until the body was found this afternoon.

On the spot the carabinieri who started the investigations to trace the causes of the death of the pensioner. Forestry, Fire Brigade, Alpine Rescue and Civil Protection were also involved in the searches with the Carabinieri. Also used drones and a helicopter.

The body was recovered by helicopter and then taken to the morgue of the Muravera cemetery where tomorrow an ASL doctor will carry out a cadaveric inspection to check for any injuries. The most popular thesis so far is that of death caused by a heart attack or cold, which arrived in the area also in conjunction with the disappearance of the man.

The investigations are followed by Major Massimo Meloni, commander of the Compagnia di San Vito who also coordinated the research that went on until tonight. The bicycle was in a path no more than three hundred meters from the point where a marshal of the Compagnia di San Vito, a volunteer and a member of the Civil Protection found the body.
