Clothes Sharing, a free clothing collection and distribution initiative, is launching in Castelsardo. The initiative is a collaboration between Sa Domo de Totus (which has successfully promoted the project in Sassari for several years), Avis Castelsardo, Caritas, and the Michele Giua Association.
The project is open to the entire community and promotes reuse, exchange, and social solidarity, also offering concrete support to those struggling with rising prices and job losses. It supports the environment and promotes the principles of community and mutualism.
The spirit of the initiative is contained in a simple and direct invitation, also expressed in the Castellanese dialect: «Viniddi e arriggheddi la robba chi no tratteddi più, o, si vuliddi, viniddi solu a sciuará lu chi vi piaggi».
A call to sharing that emphasizes the value of giving and reciprocity, without obligation or barriers. The winter clothing collection will take place at the Avis office in Castelsardo, at Via Roma 26, on the afternoon of Saturday, December 28th, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and all day on Sunday, December 29th, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
During these days, it will be possible to drop off strictly winter clothes in good condition that are no longer used.
Distribution and exchange are scheduled for Saturday, January 4th and Sunday, January 5th, again at the Avis office on Via Roma, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Anyone will be able to freely access and choose what they need, even without participating in the collection phase.
For the Castellana edition, the project manager is Vanna Cimimo, who coordinates the activities together with the participating associations, strengthening a solidarity network that connects volunteers, citizens, and the local community. The twofold goal is to create a support network open to all and to actively criticize the war economy and the high cost of living that are making life increasingly difficult for citizens.
