It was a busy afternoon for the firefighters of the Alghero detachment, who responded to two separate road accidents that occurred within a few hours between the SS 127 bis and the SP 19 bis.

The first accident occurred around 2:45 PM on state road 127 bis , heading towards Uri. For reasons still under investigation, a car left the road, struck a tree, and overturned several times, coming to a stop upside down.

When firefighters arrived, the driver was trapped inside the vehicle. Rescuers extracted him and handed him over to emergency personnel, who transported him to the emergency room for assessment and treatment.

The second response was carried out at 5:30 PM on provincial road 19 bis, at the entrance to the town of Olmedo, where two vehicles collided for reasons yet to be determined. When the fire department arrived, the occupants of the vehicles were already being treated by paramedics. Some of the injured were transferred to the Alghero emergency room for further assessment.

Once the rescue operations were completed, the firefighters secured the vehicles involved and the area affected by the accidents. 118 emergency services personnel, Carabinieri, traffic police, and local police were also present at both operations, conducting surveys and managing traffic.
