Over 120 fines, 228 vehicles and almost 300 people checked, with 11 motorists having to say goodbye to their licence.

It is the balance sheet of the checks carried out by the Traffic Police of the province of Cagliari on the main routes of the capital and its hinterland during the holidays between 25 April and 1 May.

Among the violations found, speeding, lack of insurance and inspection and even driving while intoxicated.

Among others, a motorist stopped and subjected to a breathalyzer was found with a blood alcohol level more than three times the maximum limit allowed by law. Thus the appropriate sanctions were triggered for him, starting with the withdrawal of his driving license.
