It had been beached in Sassari, in the Porto Ferro area, since last February.

It has now been recovered, but a helicopter was needed to remove it.

We are talking about a refrigerated container, stranded on the rocks under the Bantine Sale Tower, which had been lost by a cargo ship of the Africa Express Line, based in the English county of Kent, and which the strong storms of last winter had transported to the Sassari coast.

The men from the Alghero Maritime District Office of the Coast Guard, in collaboration with the Shipping Agency DD Service of Cagliari, of the companies "Marc Sub Service" of Santa Teresa Gallura and of the "Star Work Sky" of Alghero, entered the action.

The wreck was thus recovered to be later disposed of, under the control of the staff of the Circomare della Riviera dei Coralli.

The shipping company itself took charge of the removal operations.
