On 30 September and 1 October "Le Giornate del Romanico 2023" returns to Cargeghe, promoted by the "Fondazione Sardegna Isola del Romanico", with the Autonomous Region of Sardinia and the "Fondazione di Sardegna".

The small center of Coros will make the small church of Santa Maria 'e Contra accessible, the smallest Romanesque church in Sardinia, where free guided tours will be scheduled by the municipal administration of Cargeghe, with the support of the parish priest Don Matteo Jan. It is a building of worship whose foundation dates back to the 12th century by workers commissioned by the Camaldolese order which settled in the Giudicato of Torres. Set in a truly evocative rural environment and overlooked by the Giorrè plateau with its characteristic limestone cliffs. Dedicated to the cult of the Nativity of Mary on 8 September and for some years now an essential stage of the "Festival of Beauties".

The free guided tours will be held in the morning from 11am to 1pm and in the afternoon from 2.30pm to 6.30pm.
