Carbonia, the arrangement of the Barega Gruyere roads completed
200 thousand euro intervention in the hamletPer restare aggiornato entra nel nostro canale Whatsapp
With an intervention that probably went beyond expectations, the Municipality of Carbonia has completely asphalted a series of roads in the surroundings of the hamlet of Barega that were dotted with potholes and sinkholes: the works, coordinated by the municipal councilor for Public Works Manolo Mureddu, were completed a few days ago thanks to a fund of 200 thousand euros made available by the Province of South Sardinia through the former commissioner Mario Mossa. interventions dictated by the fact that a few years ago the provincial road that led from the SP2 to the entrance of Iglesias was closed and traffic had been forced to be diverted to the internal roads of the hamlet of Barega which represent an important hinge between the two mining towns of Carbonia and Iglesias.
The intervention resulted in the widening of the initial shoulder and the asphalting of the entire stretch that goes from the junction of the SP2 to after the railway bridge, as well as the laying of an entire asphalt surface in a slip road that borders some commercial and agricultural activities and heads towards the municipal territory of Iglesias. In a fairly compromised external slip road, however, only bitumen patches were applied in some of the most important potholes.
The streets of the hamlet had not received such a radical intervention for about 15-20 years.
