However, no one had any illusions, the shopkeepers and residents of via Gramsci, the main street of Carbonia, were convinced that the sewer leak that has been polluting the air in the avenue for ten years had been fixed two weeks ago.

Instead, since yesterday the pipes have exploded again. It is always the same point roughly halfway down the street on the shop side and in fact the desperation of the shopkeepers is strong, who in some cases find themselves with the river of sewage directly into the shops.

The Municipality had already intervened, forcing Abbanoa to repair the leak, although there is a strong suspicion that there are illegal connections by residents of nearby buildings and an investigation is still underway to understand whether the problem is caused by an increase in waste. But the fact remains that the leaks occur cyclically and in fact since yesterday a part of the avenue has once again become nauseating. The Municipality has decided to intervene again, although the solution seems to be very far from being adopted definitively.
