A piece of brick thrown against the window: glass shattered and only by chance a passenger was not hit.

It happened yesterday around 8.30pm at the Arst stop at the crossroads for the Carbonia hospital. The same place where 10 vehicles have been damaged since 2021, all owned by the regional transport company. The complaint comes from Fit Cisl, Filt Cgil, Uiltrasporti and Faisa, who are now loudly calling for greater safety for staff and passengers.

«Do we have to wait until someone is injured to take action?» ask Giancarlo Lampis (Filt-Cgil), Simone Atzori (Fit-Cisl), Marco Sanniu (Uiltrasporti) and Andrea Uccheddu (Faisa).

«Cameras need to be installed in that area, so as to film those who commit these cowardly and irresponsible actions or to dissuade them from doing so. And that the passage of Police or Carabinieri patrols in that area is foreseen, at least in the evening, when even the darkness favors hooligans. We remember", conclude Lampis, Atzori, Sanniu and Uccheddu, "that every time a bus is damaged, the whole community is penalised, because the company obviously has to stop that bus until it is repaired and because the costs of every intervention fall on the community ».
