Carbonia, fire in an old factory near the former landfill: thugs in action

Thugs in action in an old industrial plant in Carbonia .

They set fire to some large disused tanks of a factory that until a few decades ago produced building materials. Firefighters from the Carbonia detachment rushed to the scene during the night, alerted by the residents of the area.

The disused plant is located quite far from the inhabited center, at the foot of the mining barren hills almost close to the former consortium landfill and not far as the crow flies from the hamlet of Is Gallus.

The flames also affected metal structures adjacent to the large cisterns where it was initially feared that there were still flammable substances. An event that was instead averted during the intervention which was also attended by a patrol of the carabinieri.
