«I am honored to hold the position of regional commander of the Carabinieri in Sardinia». These are the words of Brigadier General Stefano Iasson at the end of the ceremony for the handover with his predecessor, Brigadier General Francesco Gargaro who remained in command of the Sardinia Legion for two years and nine months.

In the square of the barracks in Via Sonnino, in front of the military, civil and religious authorities, the ceremony took place in the presence of the interregional commander "Podgora", Army Corps General Enzo Bernardini: «I thank General Gargaro for what he has done and I wish all the best to the new commander. They are two excellent officers and for this reason as an Army we are proud of them. Above all because we care about a wonderful land like Sardinia."

Gargaro thanked everyone for these almost three years, recalling "the work done for the safety of the Sardinians": he will now go to Rome to direct the Carabinieri Cultural Heritage Protection Command. Iasson is also happy with the new assignment: «I will do my best», reiterated the general who commanded the second Mobile Brigade as his last assignment.
