Road accident this morning along the road to Santa Maria La Palma, at the gates of the agricultural village of Alghero. Two cars, for reasons still being investigated by the local police, collided and the driver of the Fiat Panda, a 54-year-old woman, ended up with the car in the excavation of an Enel construction site.

Driving the other car was an 89-year-old pensioner. On site the firefighters of the Alghero detachment and a 118 ambulance.

The municipal police carried out the road surveys to try to clarify the dynamics of the accident. In the late morning, with the help of a crane, the car that ended up in the ditch was finally removed. As a precaution, electricity was temporarily cut off in the agricultural area.

The two wounds are not life threatening.
