Colorful butterflies hanging in the middle of the street, flowers attached to the lampposts: the works carried out by the Municipality to beautify the historic center of Capoterra in view of the beautiful season have begun. Not just a makeover operation to make Corso Gramsci more colorful, but a real plan to bring citizens back to reclaim the open spaces in the heart of Capoterra.

"After the coast, now we want to focus our efforts on enhancing the historic center," explains the mayor, Beniamino Garau, "we have started an intervention to make Corso Gramsci more beautiful and welcoming, without neglecting the need to identify new parking lots, with the aim of bringing citizens back to strolling on summer evenings."

The decision to close the streets of the center to car traffic after 8 pm "came after listening to our shopkeepers: we are sure that the summer walks will give new impetus to the local economy and encourage socialization".
