Capoterra: Urgent work is needed to fix Via Cagliari.

"Via Cagliari is no longer safe. The manhole covers are collapsing due to improperly performed roadwork. With heavy traffic and the circulation of buses and heavy vehicles, danger is just around the corner." Silvano Corda, a minority councilor, describes the situation on Capoterra's main road.
I urge the city administration and the relevant authorities to take urgent action regarding signage, maintenance, and safety for pedestrians and motorists, before something irreparable happens. We're talking about the busiest road in the town center; the utmost care must be taken to ensure the safety of residents.
Silvia Sorgia, deputy mayor and councilor for Public Works, explains that the authorities are already preparing an intervention to fix the most at-risk sections: "Persistent rain, heavy vehicle traffic, and old pipes represent the worst combination for our roads. Add to this the fact that the repairs following Abbanoa's sewer system interventions are often not carried out properly, and the road surface collapses. We will intervene to eliminate any risk to traffic."
