Capoterra prepares to celebrate the martyrdom of Sant'Efisio, patron saint of the town. The celebrations committee, in collaboration with the parish, has organized a series of liturgical celebrations for Sunday – the day in which the martyrdom of Efisio of Antioch is remembered in Nora in 303 AD by the will of the emperor Diocletian.

It begins at 8, with the holy mass celebrated by the parish priest Don Gianni Locci in the parish church of Sant'Efisio; at 9.30, departure of the procession for corso Gramsci, via Trento, via Kennedy and arrival in the church of San Francesco, where another mass will be celebrated. At 17.30, procession of return and Eucharistic celebration animated by the parish choir and the choir of the Cathedral of Cagliari.

Antonangelo Usai, president of the Sant'Efisio committee, explains the peculiarity of the January celebrations in honor of the Warrior Martyr: «We remember the day on which Efisio was executed, it is a moment of recollection, the one celebrated on January 15 is a religious feast more intimate than that of May, but which has the same importance for all the faithful".
