The 14-year-old accused of stabbing another boy one year older in the throat as he left the Sergio Atzeni institute in Capoterra will be tried on September 24 . The office of the judge for preliminary investigations of the Juvenile Court ordered immediate judgment against the teenager, defended by the lawyer Maria Simona Chelo, confirming the charge of attempted murder.
The wounding occurred outside the institute , at 2pm on December 4th , after an argument between the two boys . Hospitalized at Brotzu, the injured 15-year-old was later declared out of danger. The two students were at the bus stop leaving classes at the commercial institute. The perpetrator of the serious episode was then stopped by the police and transferred to the Quartucciu juvenile prison. The injured man, however, was taken to the Brotzu hospital by air ambulance, where he underwent surgery to save his life.

According to an initial reconstruction of the facts, the two boys would have had an argument in front of the bus stop: one would have taken a kitchen knife out of his bag and hit the other in the throat. Many students had witnessed the terrible scene. Now, once the investigations have been completed, the juvenile prosecutor Anna Cau and the deputy Elisabetta Atziri have asked the investigating judge for an immediate judgement, a procedure which is possible in case of evidence and judge Roberta Contu has set the hearing for September. The injured minor and his family are assisted by the lawyer Patrizio Rovelli.
