Capoterra, robbery at Md di Frutti d'Oro: bandit on the run
First he pretended to go shopping, then the armed criminal with his face covered by a surgical mask escaped with the loot on board a Smart: the Carabinieri are investigatingRobbery shortly after 3pm today, Sunday 20 October, in the Md supermarket in Frutti d'Oro, in Capoterra.
According to initial reports, a criminal with his face covered by a black surgical mask entered pretending to do the shopping. He then went to the cashier and pulled out a gun with which he threatened one of the cashiers, ordering her to hand over the money. He then fled.
The amount of the loot is still uncertain: it should be between one thousand and one thousand five hundred euros.
Some witnesses reportedly saw the robber drive away towards Sarroch in a dark Smart, followed by another grey small car: it is not yet clear whether it was a chase or whether there were accomplices in the other vehicle.
The Carabinieri arrived immediately at the market and began an investigation to find the person responsible. There are images from the cameras.
