Another cry of protest under the Regional Council in via Roma in Cagliari: “Enough with precarious employment!”. The Social Health Operators (OSS) of the ASL 8 of Cagliari, supported by Usb Sanità, have decided to mobilize against a situation that they define as unsustainable. The sit-in organized by the union aims to obtain from the institutions the immediate activation of the stabilization procedures for dozens of professionals, essential for the local health system but left at the mercy of job uncertainty.

"To date, about 50 Oss with years of experience are out of work and many others risk being sent home," reports Gianfranco Angioni, regional representative of Usb Sanità. "During the Covid-19 emergency, these operators worked on the front lines, guaranteeing essential services to the community. Yet, despite having met the requirements for stabilization, they are ignored."

The union accuses the institutions of total indifference : "Our requests to the Region, to the ASL, to the Regional Health Authority have gone unheard. This attitude not only deprives workers of fundamental rights, but compromises the quality of health care offered to citizens."

The battle, Angioni assures, will not stop : «We will continue to fight until the right to work and dignity of these professionals is guaranteed. It is time for the institutions to act: the health system needs them, and they have the right to a stable future».
