Today Cagliari is the hottest city in Italy . This is confirmed by the heat wave bulletin of the Ministry of Health , which sees the only Sardinian capital, among the 27 considered, marked with the orange sticker (maximum level of risk for the fragile population) and with temperatures that will reach up to 35 degrees.

The mistral wind that has been blowing on the island for a few days is in fact carrying the warm air from the north-western quadrant of Sardinia to the south , fully investing the Campidano .

With the orange alert , temperatures ranging from 23 to 35 degrees associated with high humidity, strong solar radiation and lack of ventilation are expected today.

In these conditions, explains the Ministry of Health, whose alarm system is aimed at preventing the effects of heat, high temperatures can have negative effects on the health of the population , in particular on the most exposed groups such as the elderly and children. Health and social services are on alert.

Tomorrow however, Wednesday 28 June , a slight improvement is expected with the alert passing to level 1, yellow in colour .
