Cagliari, truck hits a pine tree: tree to be cut down

Advanced age and illness are not enough: distracted truck drivers are also responsible for tree felling in Cagliari .

This morning, following the collision of a heavy vehicle with a specimen of Aleppo pine in Viale Buoncammino , the stability of the tree was completely compromised: experts declared it "no longer recoverable".

Thus the demolition of the plant became necessary and urgent "to guarantee safe transit for people and vehicles", the Municipality states.
