The great fear of bird flu is fortunately only a sad memory. Now the park of Monte Urpinu , in Cagliari , has new inhabitants. We are talking about thirteen ducklings , born in recent days from mother duck Gioia. Not the only happy event of this period: last week it was another mother duck, Carlotta, who gave birth to fourteen specimens.
Both broods will find a home in the central aviary near the entrance on via Leo .
Good news, also welcomed by the deputy mayor and assessor of the public green Giorgio Angius : «The administration welcomes the new guests of the Park», reads the note from the Municipality, «who in the coming years will be playmates of many small Cagliari citizens and big. Soon, when the chicks will be a little older, we will organize a guided tour with some school groups to officially welcome the new born».
